Experience Level:

5-7 years Our team is looking for a skilled Reefer Truck Refrigeration Technician to handle the maintenance, diagnostics, and repair of cooling units on refrigerated trailers and trucks. We need a seasoned professional capable of operating autonomously and contributing immediately without the need for extensive onboarding. Candidates should possess 5-7 years of practical expertise within the transport refrigeration sector or a comparable mechanical discipline.

Relevant background areas include:

Industrial or commercial HVAC and refrigeration systems Fleet or diesel engine maintenance Climate-control and automotive A/C repair Heavy-duty truck or heavy equipment servicing General commercial refrigeration units Refrigerated trailer maintenance and repair

Core Duties:

Perform expert diagnostics and repairs on trailer and truck refrigeration units Resolve complex issues related to refrigeration and A/C performance Replace and fix condensers, compressors, evaporators, hoses, belts, and other hardware Identify and resolve electrical, temperature control, and wiring malfunctions Execute necessary service and repairs on refrigerant systems Help ensure fleet reliability by conducting thorough preventive maintenance and inspections Determine the most effective repair solutions for identified mechanical failures Maintain high productivity standards while working independently on assigned tasks

Required Skills and Experience:

At least 5-7 years of direct, hands-on mechanical repair experience Advanced proficiency in electrical and mechanical troubleshooting Comprehensive understanding of compressors, refrigerants, A/C systems, and temperature regulation Prior experience with reefer trailers or trucks is highly valued Background in refrigerated transport or commercial cooling equipment is a significant advantage Demonstrated reliability and the ability to contribute to team success from day one
