Job Description
Overview Looking for an experienced mechanic who wants some part-time work. Flexible days and hours. Join our dynamic team as a Mechanic and become a vital contributor to maintaining and optimizing industrial equipment. This role offers an exciting opportunity to apply your technical expertise, troubleshooting skills, and ensure operational excellence across various machinery and electrical systems. As a key player in our maintenance team, you'll help keep production running smoothly, improve equipment reliability, and support continuous improvement initiatives. Duties Perform routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and repairs on manufacturing equipment, including hydraulics, pneumatics, electrical systems, and mechanical components. Troubleshoot and diagnose issues using schematics, electrical blueprints, precision measuring instruments (such as ammeters and ohmmeters), and engineering troubleshooting techniques. Conduct electrical diagnostics and maintenance on low voltage systems, programmable logic controllers (PLCs), and industrial electrical systems to ensure safety and efficiency. Operate equipment such as scissor lifts for access during maintenance tasks while adhering to safety protocols. Read and interpret schematics and technical manuals to facilitate accurate repairs and installations. Perform welding using welding techniques when necessary for equipment fabrication or repair projects. Troubleshoot pneumatic systems for leaks or failures; analyze system performance to identify root causes of malfunctions. Provide exceptional customer service by collaborating with production teams to minimize downtime and improve equipment performance. Experience Proven experience working in a manufacturing facility or industrial environment with a strong understanding of industrial mechanics and maintenance practices. Hands-on experience with equipment troubleshooting, electrical diagnostics, hydraulic systems, pneumatic systems, and mechanical repairs. Ability to operate precision measuring instruments such as ammeters and ohmmeters confidently. Strong analysis skills combined with excellent problem-solving abilities to diagnose issues efficiently. Demonstrated ability to perform electrical maintenance on low voltage systems safely while adhering to all safety standards.
