Bill's Garage in Boone, NC is a busy, family-owned /independent repair shop that has been serving our community for 30+ years. We pride ourselves on doing the job right the first time, maintaining a clean, respectful and modern facility with the latest diagnostic equipment. We are looking for an experienced full-service mechanic. Job duties include but not limited to: Diagnosing and repairing automotive systems (engines, transmissions, electrical, brakes, suspensions, etc.) Communicate directly with the service adviser so the customer can be informed if any additional service is needed Create estimate for work needed Test drive vehicles before and after repair is complete Maintain a clean work area Perform work specified on maintenance and repair orders with efficiency Provide labor and time estimates for additional repairs Clearly explain technical diagnoses to service advisors and customers Qualifications needed Valid driver's license Customer service skills Learns quickly Ensure that customer's cars are kept clean Knowledge of tools and equipment required to conduct all repairs Ability to operate diagnostic tools Have their own tools Be able to work M-F 8:00-5:00 with an hour lunch
