Overview Join our dynamic automotive service team as an Automotive Mechanic and become a vital part of delivering exceptional vehicle maintenance and repair solutions. In this role, you will utilize your mechanical expertise to diagnose, repair, and maintain a wide range of vehicles, ensuring safety, reliability, and customer satisfaction. Whether working on gasoline engines, diesel systems, or advanced driver-assistance systems (ADAS), your skills will drive our commitment to excellence in automotive care. Duties Perform comprehensive diagnostics using automotive electrical systems, schematics, and specialized tools to identify issues accurately. Conduct repairs and maintenance on various vehicle components including engines, transmissions, suspensions, brakes, shocks & struts, and powertrain systems. Execute oil changes, tire services, wheel alignments, and wheel balancing to optimize vehicle performance. Repair and replace auto body parts when necessary, ensuring safety standards are met or exceeded. Utilize hand tools and power tools efficiently to perform repairs with precision and safety. Diagnose complex problems related to ADAS (Advanced Driver-Assistance Systems), electrical systems, and diesel engines using automotive diagnostics equipment. Maintain detailed service records, complete auto estimating tasks, and communicate effectively with customers about repair needs and timelines. Requirements Proven experience as an automotive mechanic with dealership or independent shop background preferred. Strong mechanical knowledge across automotive systems including powertrain, transmissions, brakes, suspension, and electrical components. Familiarity with schematics reading and automotive diagnostics tools is essential. Experience working on GM vehicles or similar makes is advantageous. Ability to perform welding and auto body repairs as needed. Knowledge of diesel engine repair and air brake systems is a plus. Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, and maintenance equipment for vehicle service tasks. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to explain technical issues clearly to clients. Valid certification in automotive repair or relevant technical training; dealership experience highly desirable. $20.00 - $35.00 per hour
