Job Description

Lawn King is a locally owned company providing Lawn Care, Landscaping, and Snow Removal services throughout the Grand Forks area. We are looking for a dependable, mechanically inclined individual to join our team as a Mechanic. This position is responsible for maintaining, repairing, troubleshooting, and improving our fleet of trucks, trailers, lawn care equipment, and snow removal equipment. We are seeking someone who takes pride in their work, enjoys solving mechanical problems, and can help keep our operations running efficiently year-round. Whether you are an experienced mechanic or someone with strong mechanical aptitude looking to grow your skills, we are willing to train the right candidate. Summer Work Week Summer Work:
May 1st•October 31st (approximately) Typical hours are 7:00am•5:00pm Monday through Friday Additional hours may be available depending on workload and equipment demands Support mowing, landscaping, and irrigation operations through maintenance and repairs Job Details Diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining trucks, trailers, lawn care, and snow removal equipment Performing preventative maintenance and inspections on fleet equipment Troubleshooting hydraulic, electrical, mechanical, and engine systems Welding and fabrication of equipment modifications and repairs Managing shop organization, inventory, and maintenance schedules Operating tools, equipment, and diagnostic software safely and effectively Working with management to prioritize repairs and minimize equipment downtime We are willing to train the right individual with strong mechanical abilities and a willingness to learn
Winter Work Week Winter Work:
November 1st•April 30th (approximately) Typical hours are 8:00am•5:00pm Monday through Friday On-call support during snow events for emergency equipment repairs Prepare and maintain snow removal equipment for winter operations Qualifications Mechanical experience preferred Experience with diesel engines, small engines, trailers, or fleet maintenance is a plus Welding and fabrication experience preferred Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot equipment issues Basic computer literacy Valid driver's license required Strong organizational and problem-solving skills Ability to work independently and manage priorities Willingness to learn and grow with the company At Lawn King, reliable equipment keeps our entire team moving.
