TIRE &/OR LUBE TECH EXPERIENCE
(or Training) is required
  • Ideal candidate will have experience in both, but candidates that have only previous Tire Experience or only previous Lube experience will be considered. (Starting pay will Depend on Experience)

We are looking for Automotive Tire & Lube Technicians that are: Highly Motivated Have Solid Work Ethic Reliable, Dependable & Trustworthy Communicate well/get along well with others Will share our Strong Commitment to the Customers we serve As an Automotive Tire & Lube Technician for your locally owned & operated Big O Tires, you will be working in a new, state-of-the art facility and be responsible for oil changes, filter replacement, servicing and performing maintenance of tires and wheels in an accurate and timely manner.   • Essential duties & responsibilities include: Tire & Wheel installation (mount, balance, rotate, repair, and replacement of tires/wheels) Thorough vehicle inspections using provided inspection sheet Performing oil changes, fluid flushes, and possible other light mechanical Calibrating & reprogramming TPMS Inventory stocking Testing and installing batteries Test-driving vehicles after maintenance, as needed Assisting in keeping the Shop & work areas clean and organized Willingness to participate in on-going training to advance knowledge & techniques Other duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications:
Previous (professional) employment as a Tire & Lube Technician (will consider "hands on" training) Valid driver's license Must be at least 18 years old Availability to work some holidays, Saturdays, and after regular business hours as needed Communicate & work well with others including staff, customers, delivery personnel Ability to learn new concepts and use technical materials Complies with Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) regulations Ability to remain in a stationary position (standing and/or driving) for up to nine hours per shift Ability to move and lift up to 75 pounds Ability to meet company requirements including successful pre-employment drug screening, Motor Vehicle Report (MVR), and criminal background check
Experience:
Previous experience (2 + years) preferred in a professional auto services shop Minimum 1 + years "Hands-on" Experience, Training/Coursework (directly related to duties above)
