Job Description

Family-owned business in Hickman, NE is looking for a local full-time or part-time Auto Technician to join our team. As an Auto Technician, the focus will be on identifying and fixing mechanical, electrical, and electronic issues on all types of vehicles. We are looking for a friendly, hardworking individual who can stay on task working alone or can work well with others on projects. Must provide your own tools. Responsibilities Ability to diagnose and repair basic automotive including brakes, alignments, suspensions, cooling, exhaust, and electrical. Change oil and/or perform scheduled maintenance services. Install and perform tire maintenance. Install batteries, shocks and struts, and check electrical systems. Road test vehicles. Explain what repairs are needed to service writers. Physical Qualifications Lift and/or move over 100 pounds. Able to be on your feet/stand majority of the workday. Able to work in tight spaces with tools above your head. Minimum Qualifications Basic computer skills. Able to read and understand service manuals. Ability to learn basic mechanical tasks, A.S.E. certification a plus. Experience working with manufacturer-level diagnostic equipment and factory scan tools. Must have a valid automobile driver's license at all times and be able to drive customer and company vehicles. Experience in automotive service industry is preferred.
