MECHANIC HELPER - GARBAGE TRUCK FLEET

We need a dependable Mechanic Helper to assist with the maintenance and repair of our trucks and other company vehicles.

Responsibilities:

Change and repair truck tires Perform basic oil and filter changes Lubricate trucks and equipment Check and refill fluids Inspect brakes, lights, hoses, belts, and other basic components Assist with hydraulic systems, including hoses, fittings, cylinders, and leak repairs Help diagnose mechanical problems under the direction of the lead mechanic Perform basic shop and preventative maintenance Keep the shop, tools, and work areas clean and organized Pick up parts or assist with roadside repairs when needed Follow all company safety procedures

Qualifications:

Basic mechanical knowledge and experience working with trucks or heavy equipment Ability to safely use hand tools, power tools, jacks, and shop equipment Experience changing large truck tires Basic understanding of diesel engines and hydraulic systems is preferred Ability to lift heavy parts and work on your feet Valid driver's license and reliable transportation Dependable, hardworking, and willing to learn

Clean Driver License NEEDED Pay:

$20.00 - $25.00 per hour
