Landscaping & Nursery We are a growing landscaping and nursery company looking for a skilled and dependable Small Engine & Fleet Mechanic to maintain, repair, and service our landscaping equipment and company trucks. The ideal candidate has hands-on mechanical experience, takes pride in their work, and can diagnose and repair equipment efficiently to keep our crews operating safely and productively. Responsibilities Diagnose, repair, and maintain small engines and landscaping equipment Service and repair lawn mowers, blowers, trimmers, chainsaws, edgers, and other landscaping equipment Perform routine maintenance such as oil changes, filter replacement, tune-ups, belt replacement, blade sharpening, and general servicing Troubleshoot fuel, electrical, ignition, hydraulic, and mechanical problems Maintain and repair company pickup trucks, trailers, and other work vehicles Perform preventative maintenance on trucks and equipment Keep accurate records of repairs and maintenance Identify equipment that needs major repair or replacement Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area Order or identify parts needed for repairs Work closely with landscaping and nursery crews to prioritize equipment repairs Ensure equipment is safe and ready for daily use Qualifications Previous experience repairing small engines, landscaping equipment, automotive equipment, or similar machinery Strong mechanical and troubleshooting skills Experience with both 2-cycle and 4-cycle engines preferred Basic automotive/truck repair experience preferred Ability to diagnose problems and complete repairs independently Ability to use common hand and power tools Valid driver's license Dependable, responsible, and able to work independently Good organizational skills and attention to detail ASE certification or formal mechanical training is a plus, but not required. We are willing to consider candidates with strong hands-on mechanical experience.
