We are looking for an experienced A-Level Automotive Technician to join our team. This position is for an experienced technician with strong diagnostic and repair abilities who can independently handle complex vehicle concerns while consistently producing high-quality work. What We Offer 4-day, 10-hour work week No weekends Hourly pay, not flat rate Competitive pay based on experience Health insurance, company covers 50% of the employee premium and 20% of dependent premiums Low-cost dental and vision coverage 401(k) with 3.5% company match Paid time off Modern diagnostic and specialty equipment Tekmetric shop management software and digital vehicle inspections Ongoing training opportunities Stable, independent, family-owned and operated work environment Responsibilities Diagnose complex electrical, drivability, engine performance, emissions, HVAC and mechanical concerns Use scan tools, multimeters, oscilloscopes, wiring diagrams and service information to accurately determine the cause of vehicle problems Interpret diagnostic trouble codes, scan data, electrical readings and test results Perform high-quality repairs on engines, transmissions, brakes, steering, suspension, HVAC, electrical and powertrain systems Perform scheduled maintenance and general automotive repair as needed Complete thorough digital vehicle inspections using Tekmetric Clearly document findings and recommendations for Service Advisors Test drive vehicles as necessary to verify concerns and completed repairs Follow proper repair procedures and manufacturer specifications Maintain productivity without sacrificing quality Communicate effectively with Service Advisors and other technicians Maintain a clean, organized and safe work area Qualifications Professional automotive repair experience at the A-Technician level Strong automotive diagnostic knowledge and proven diagnostic ability Strong understanding of automotive electrical and electronic systems Ability to independently diagnose drivability, electrical and mechanical concerns Strong mechanical repair abilities across multiple vehicle systems Ability to service and repair a wide variety of makes and models ASE certifications preferred Valid driver's license with a clean driving record Must have your own professional automotive tools Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail Dependable, professional and committed to quality workmanship Why Join Charlie's?
