We are seeking an experienced Medium Truck / Heavy Duty Diesel Truck & Equipment Mechanic to join our team. Duties will include the repair, service and maintenance of company vehicles and equipment. You will be working on a variety of equipment including pickup trucks, flatbeds, dump truck, tractor trailer, backhoe, skid steer, manlifts, forklifts, trailers, gas powered welders and construction equipment. We are looking for a reliable individual willing to wear multiple hats. All workers are hired on a 90-day probationary period after which they will be offered benefits.Note:
this job description is not intended to be all-inclusive. Employee may have to perform other related duties as required to meet the ongoing needs of the company.Requirements:
Minimum of 3 years' experience as a heavy truck and equipment diesel mechanic. Previous experience operating and maintaining equipment in the construction industry. Be capable of lifting 75 pounds, frequent stooping, bending, squatting, and kneeling. Have a High School Diploma or equivalent.Vocational / Technical
School or Military Wheeled Mechanic training a plus. Pass a pre-employment screening including background check, drug test and physical. Have a valid, clean driver's license/CDL. If no Class A CDL, you must be willing to obtain. Must be willing to work a flexible schedule if required. Must have your own tools required to perform job duties. Welding / fabrication skills are a plus. Required Skills /Responsibilities:
Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Perform routine maintenance and repairs on company trucks and equipment. Perform replacement of electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical components. Keep accurate records, noting repairs and maintenance activities. Knowledge of hydraulic systems and components. Ability to read and interpret maintenance manuals and schematics. Purchase parts and consumables as required. Safely transport company equipment to and from the job site as needed. Repair company vehicles and or equipment on the job site if required. Ensure company vehicles and equipment are kept clean and maintained as needed. Follow all required safety protocols and guidelines while operating company vehicles and equipment. Maintain work area in a safe, clean, and orderly manner. All other duties as assigned.Benefits:
