Duties Schedule and prioritize service appointments for vehicle repairs and maintenance, ensuring timely turnaround. Communicate clearly with customers about their vehicle's status, estimated costs, and recommended services, including upselling opportunities. Coordinate with mechanics and technicians to assign jobs based on skill set, workload, and parts availability. Utilize estimating software to prepare accurate repair estimates, including collision repair, mechanical diagnostics, and routine services like oil changes or tire rotations. Manage customer inquiries via phone or in person, providing exceptional service writing and client communication. Track vehicle progress throughout the repair process, updating customers regularly to enhance satisfaction. Handle cash transactions and process payments accurately while maintaining detailed records of all service activities. Requirements Proven experience in auto service management or as a service technician with dealership or collision repair background. Strong mechanical knowledge of automotive systems such as transmissions, brakes, suspension, air brakes, shocks & struts, alignment, and tire services. Familiarity with estimating software and computer-aided vehicle damage estimating tools. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly to clients. Ability to upsell additional services like automotive diagnostics or preventive maintenance confidently. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; driving experience preferred.
