Job Summary We are seeking a skilled and motivated Auto Mechanic specializing in general repair to join our dynamic automotive service team. In this role, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of vehicle systems to ensure optimal performance, safety, and customer satisfaction. Your expertise will help keep vehicles running smoothly and efficiently, contributing to our reputation for quality service and mechanical excellence. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with diverse vehicle makes and models, utilizing advanced diagnostic tools and mechanical knowledge to deliver top-tier automotive repairs. Responsibilities Perform comprehensive diagnostics on various vehicle systems using automotive diagnostic tools and interpret automotive wiring diagrams to identify issues accurately. Conduct repairs on engines, including diesel engine repair and automotive engine system repair, ensuring all work meets manufacturer specifications and safety standards. Repair and maintain powertrain components, including transmissions, drive shafts, and related systems to optimize vehicle performance. Utilize hand tools, power tools, and mechanical repair techniques to execute repairs efficiently while adhering to safety protocols. Interpret schematics and electrical diagrams to troubleshoot automotive electrical systems such as lighting, sensors, ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems), and other vehicle electronics. Perform wheel alignments, suspension adjustments, and vehicle maintenance tasks to enhance handling and prolong vehicle lifespan. Provide excellent customer service by explaining repairs clearly, offering maintenance advice, and ensuring a positive experience for all clients. Qualifications Proven mechanic experience with a strong background in general automotive repair; dealership experience is highly preferred. Knowledge of automotive electrical systems, wiring diagrams, ADAS technology, and schematics. Hands-on experience with diesel engine repair and automotive engine system repair across various vehicle makes. Familiarity with automotive diagnostic tools and diagnostics procedures for both gasoline and diesel engines. Mechanical knowledge of vehicle systems including powertrain components, engine technology, suspension, brakes, and electrical wiring. Ability to handle heavy lifting safely while performing repairs or maintenance tasks. Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, alignment equipment, and other mechanical repair equipment. Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly to clients.
