ZoomRide Health is seeking an experienced, dependable Automotive Technician/Mechanic to join our clean, modern, fully equipped shop in Buffalo, NY. In this full-time, in-person position, you will help keep our fleet of cars, vans, and wheelchair-accessible vehicles safe, reliable, and ready to serve our passengers. We are looking for someone who takes pride in quality work, can diagnose issues accurately, and understands the importance of preventative maintenance in a fast-paced transportation environment. Position Details Full-time position Monday through Friday 8-hour shifts In-person role in Buffalo, NY 14216 Pay starts at $23.00 per hour and increases based on experience, skills, and qualifications Responsibilities Perform routine maintenance and mechanical repairs on company vehicles, including cars, vans, and light trucks. Diagnose vehicle issues using appropriate diagnostic tools and repair methods. Complete oil changes, brake work, tire service, suspension repairs, battery replacements, inspections, and other general automotive repairs. Conduct preventative maintenance inspections to identify potential issues before they become major repairs. Maintain accurate records of maintenance, repairs, parts used, and vehicle condition. Communicate repair needs, timelines, and safety concerns clearly with the shop supervisor or management. Help maintain a clean, organized, and safe shop environment. Follow all company safety procedures, manufacturer recommendations, and applicable industry standards. Assist with keeping vehicles clean, presentable, and ready for service as needed. Help monitor shop supplies and notify management when parts, fluids, tools, or materials need to be ordered. Ensure each vehicle is safe and properly inspected before it returns to service. Qualifications At least 1 year of automotive repair or mechanic experience required. Strong knowledge of vehicle maintenance, repairs, and diagnostics. Experience working on cars, vans, trucks, or commercial fleet vehicles preferred. Ability to diagnose mechanical, electrical, and basic drivability issues. Familiarity with common shop equipment, hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic scanners. Strong attention to detail and commitment to safe, quality work. Ability to work independently while communicating effectively with management and team members. Reliable attendance and strong time-management skills. Valid driver's license required. Must be able to work in a physically demanding environment, including lifting, standing, bending, and working around vehicles and shop equipment.
