Position Overview
SSBC-USA
is seeking a knowledgeable customer-focused Customer Service/Sales Technician to join our team. This role will primarily serve as a technical resource for customers, dealers, and installers, by providing product information, installation assistance, troubleshooting, and application support related to aftermarket braking applications. This role will also support ongoing sales activities by working with customers to recommend the right braking solutions, overcoming technical objections, and entering sales orders. The ideal candidate has hands-on automotive experience, strong knowledge of automotive braking systems, good communication skills, and the ability to diagnose customer issues over the phone. Key Responsibilities Provide technical assistance and support to customers, dealers, and installers regarding aftermarket brake-system questions, product selection, installation, and troubleshooting. Diagnose issues based on customer descriptions, symptoms, photos, and application information. Provide guidance on calipers, rotors, master cylinders, brake boosters, proportioning valves and related braking components. Explain proper installation procedures, system setup, bleeding instructions, and brake-system adjustment. Troubleshoot common issues such as brake noise, pulling, dragging, poor pedal feel, excessive pedal travel, uneven braking, and brake-fluid problems. Maintain a professional and positive attitude while handling challenging technical or customer-service related situations. Support ongoing sales activities by working with customers to recommend braking solutions, overcoming technical objections, and closing/entering sales orders. Qualifications 2+ years of automotive repair / technical support experience related to installing, diagnosing, troubleshooting, and repairing automotive brake systems. Strong automotive knowledge, particularly in braking systems, with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly to customers. Experience with aftermarket disc-brake conversions and upgrades preferred. Ability to read and understand technical instructions, installation manuals, diagrams, and product specifications. Comfortable communicating with both experienced automotive professionals and customers with limited technical knowledge. Knowledge of classic cars, muscle cars, trucks and Jeep vehicles highly desirable. Strong problem-solving and diagnostic skills. Proficient verbal and written communication skills. Good computer skills and ability to learn product databases, CRM systems, and technical resources. Willingness to learnSSBC-USA
