We are looking for more than an entry-level technician. We want an experienced professional who is confident diagnosing and repairing today's vehicles, takes pride in their work, and wants to be part of a productive, professional service department. GM dealership experience, GM factory training, and GM certifications are strongly preferred. RESPONSIBILITIES

Diagnose and repair GM vehicles as well as other makes and models Perform work specified on repair orders efficiently and according to dealership and manufacturer standards Diagnose complex mechanical, electrical, drivability, and electronic concerns Utilize factory diagnostic equipment, scan tools, technical information, and special service equipment Diagnose and repair engine, transmission, electrical, steering, suspension, brake, HVAC, and related vehicle systems Perform GM warranty repairs according to manufacturer procedures and specifications Communicate effectively with Service Advisors regarding diagnosis, recommended repairs, and additional work needed Complete repairs accurately and efficiently while maintaining high-quality standards Maintain an organized, clean, and professional work area Continue factory training and stay current with changing vehicle technology

EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum 2 years of professional automotive technician experience; 3-5+ years preferred General Motors dealership experience strongly preferred GM factory training or GM certifications highly desirable Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting ability Experience with electrical and drivability diagnosis preferred Ability to efficiently diagnose problems rather than simply replace components Comfortable using modern electronic diagnostic equipment and scan tools Knowledge of automotive repair and maintenance procedures Ability to read and understand technical service information and repair procedures Strong computer and technology skills Valid driver's license Team-oriented with a professional attitude Commitment to quality workmanship and productivity
