Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive diagnostics using automotive diagnostic tools to identify issues across various vehicle systems, including electrical, mechanical, and electronic components. Perform repairs and maintenance on powertrain components such as engines, transmissions, and drive axles, ensuring optimal performance. Repair vehicle suspension systems, alignments, and steering mechanisms to enhance ride quality and safety standards. Interpret automotive wiring diagrams accurately to troubleshoot electrical systems and install new wiring or electronic modules as needed. Service diesel engines and other specialized powertrain components with attention to detail and adherence to manufacturer specifications. Utilize hand tools and power tools efficiently for disassembly, repair, and reassembly tasks while maintaining a clean and organized workspace. Provide excellent customer service by explaining repairs clearly, offering maintenance advice, and ensuring customer satisfaction throughout the service process. Requirements Proven dealership experience or service technician experience with a strong background in automotive repair. Proficiency in automotive diagnostics, schematics interpretation, and understanding of vehicle electrical systems. Experience with ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems) calibration and repair is highly desirable. Mechanical knowledge of vehicle systems including powertrain, transmissions, vehicle suspension system repair, and vehicle maintenance procedures. Familiarity with automotive wiring diagram interpretation and automotive electrical systems troubleshooting. Ability to work with various automotive diagnostic tools, hand tools, power tools, and auto estimating software. Strong communication skills with a focus on customer service excellence. Mechanic experience working on GM vehicles or similar makes is preferred but not required.
