Automotive Service Advisor The Collins Business Group, LLC Liverpool, NY Job Details Full-time $57,200 - $72,800 a year 6 hours ago Benefits Paid training Paid holidays Disability insurance Health insurance Dental insurance Qualifications Customer communication Full Job Description First Automotive is looking for a professional, organized Service Advisor to join our Liverpool repair facility. You will be the main connection between our customers and technicians, responsible for keeping customers informed, explaining repair recommendations, presenting estimates, obtaining approvals, and helping keep the shop moving. We need someone who communicates clearly, builds trust, stays organized, follows through, and is comfortable discussing repairs, pricing, and recommended work.
Responsibilities:
Greet customers and provide a professional, positive experience. Schedule appointments and create accurate work orders. Clearly communicate customer concerns to technicians. Review technician findings and explain recommended repairs in understandable terms. Prepare and present estimates and obtain customer authorization. Keep customers updated on pricing, progress, delays, and completion. Coordinate with technicians and management to keep work moving. Ensure work orders, approvals, pricing, payments, and customer records are accurate. Follow up on deferred work and future service needs.
Qualifications:
Automotive service advisor, service writer, dealership, repair shop, tire store, parts, or related experience is strongly preferred. Exceptional customer-service or sales candidates may be considered without automotive experience. Strong communication, customer-service, sales, and organizational skills. Comfortable discussing repair costs and asking customers to authorize recommended work. Ability to manage multiple customers, vehicles, calls, and deadlines. Comfortable using computers and automotive shop-management software. Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record. Dependable and able to work the full scheduled hours.
