Automotive Technician - Veterans with 3+ Years of Mechanical Experience Elite - 3.7 Liverpool, NY Job Details Full-time $46,000 - $60,000 a year 1 hour ago Qualifications Troubleshooting schematics Military Interpreting technical drawings Driver's License Experience working in the automotive repair industry Power tools Technical troubleshooting support Hand tools Full Job Description We are seeking U.S. Military Veterans with an Honorable Discharge and at least 3+ years of hands-on mechanical experience to join our service team as an Automotive Technician. Your mechanical experience may come from military service, civilian employment, or a combination of both. Experience maintaining or repairing vehicles, aircraft, heavy equipment, generators, or other mechanical systems is welcome. This opportunity allows you to apply your technical skills, discipline, and problem-solving abilities to a long-term automotive career while continuing to develop your diagnostic and repair knowledge. Key Responsibilities Perform routine maintenance, including oil changes, tire rotations, fluid services, and vehicle inspections. Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical issues using diagnostic equipment and technical manuals. Inspect and service brakes, steering, suspension, engines, and other vehicle systems. Follow manufacturer specifications and dealership repair procedures. Document completed work and communicate repair recommendations to the service team. Use hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment safely. Participate in technical training to strengthen automotive knowledge and repair skills. Maintain a clean, organized work area and follow workplace safety procedures. Work with technicians and service leadership to complete repairs efficiently and accurately. Requirements Must be a U.S. Military Veteran with an Honorable Discharge; documentation required. Must have three or more years of hands-on mechanical experience through military service, civilian work, or a combination of both. Strong mechanical aptitude, troubleshooting skills, and willingness to learn. Ability to read and follow technical manuals, repair instructions, and schematics. Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and mechanical equipment. Valid driver's license and a clean driving record. Clean background and ability to meet pre-employment screening requirements. Ability to pass a pre-employment drug test. Ability to perform essential technician duties, with reasonable accommodation as applicable. Availability to begin full-time employment promptly. Preferred Qualifications Military experience maintaining vehicles, aircraft, heavy equipment, generators, or other mechanical systems. Civilian automotive repair or fleet maintenance experience. Experience with electrical troubleshooting and preventive maintenance. Automotive technical training, ASE certifications, or manufacturer certifications.
