Job Summary Join our dynamic automotive service team as an Automotive Mechanic, where your expertise will drive excellence in vehicle repair and maintenance. Duties Perform comprehensive diagnostics using automotive electrical systems, schematics, and advanced diagnostic tools to identify issues accurately. Repair and maintain various mechanical systems including engines, transmissions, suspensions, brakes, shocks & struts, and powertrain components. Conduct oil changes, tire services, wheel alignments, and vehicle maintenance to ensure optimal vehicle performance. Utilize hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and mechanical repair techniques to execute repairs efficiently. Work on heavy equipment mechanics and auto body repairs as needed, ensuring all repairs meet safety standards and manufacturer specifications. Interpret technical manuals and schematics to troubleshoot complex automotive electrical systems and mechanical failures. Provide excellent customer service by explaining repairs clearly and recommending maintenance plans to enhance vehicle longevity. Qualifications Proven experience working in the automotive repair industry with dealership experience preferred. Strong mechanical knowledge of automotive systems including powertrain, transmission, suspension, brakes, and electrical components. Proficiency with automotive diagnostics tools and schematics for accurate troubleshooting. Hands-on experience with diesel engine repair, auto body repair, auto estimating, and GM vehicles is a plus. Ability to operate hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and other mechanical repair tools safely and effectively. Knowledge of ADAS (Advanced Driver-Assistance Systems), air brake systems, wheel alignments, tire service, shocks & struts is highly desirable.
