Job description
Responsibilities:
(must be able to preform work on domestic & foreign vehicles)
  • Perform routine automotive maintenance tasks, including oil changes, tire rotations, and filter replacements
  • Diagnose and repair vehicle issues, such as engine problems, electrical issues, brake system failures, Suspension, Ect.
  • Conduct vehicle NYS inspections to identify potential issues and recommend necessary repairs
  • Use diagnostic tools and equipment to accurately diagnose and troubleshoot vehicle problems
  • Perform heavy lifting and physical tasks as required for automotive repairs
  • Collaborate with other technicians and service advisors to ensure efficient workflow and customer satisfaction
  • Provide exceptional customer service by addressing customer concerns and explaining repair recommendations
Skills:
  • Strong knowledge of automotive systems, including engines, transmissions, electrical systems, brakes & suspensions.
  • Proficient in using diagnostic tools and equipment to identify vehicle issues
  • Experience in performing auto body repairs and welding is a plus
  • Excellent problem-solving skills to diagnose complex vehicle problems
  • Ability to work independently and efficiently in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong attention to detail to ensure accurate diagnosis and repair of vehicles
  • Excellent communication skills to interact with customers and explain repair recommendations
Note:
Sales experience is not relevant to the role of an Automotive Technician.
