Job Description
Automotive Diagnostic Technician / A-Level Technician We are looking for an experienced, well-rounded Automotive Diagnostic Technician who is confident diagnosing and repairing a wide range of vehicle problems. This position is ideal for a technician who can properly troubleshoot and diagnose a vehicle before replacing parts. Strong diagnostic and electrical skills are especially important. Responsibilities
- Diagnose check engine lights, warning lights, drivability problems, and no-start conditions Troubleshoot automotive electrical and electronic problems, including wiring, sensors, modules, charging and starting systems Perform advanced scan-tool diagnostics and accurately interpret trouble codes and live data
- Diagnose and repair automotive HVAC and A/C systems, including electrical and performance-related problems
- Diagnose suspension, steering, vibration, and noise concerns
- Diagnose and repair brake systems
- Diagnose transmission and drivetrain problems and determine the proper course of repair
- Perform general mechanical repairs and vehicle maintenance as needed
- Accurately identify the cause of a problem and recommend the proper repair
- Work efficiently while maintaining high-quality workmanship
- Communicate findings clearly with service management
- Work as part of a team and contribute to the success of the shop Requirements
- Strong automotive diagnostic and troubleshooting ability
- Strong understanding of automotive electrical systems
- Experience diagnosing check engine lights and drivability concerns
- Automotive HVAC diagnostic and repair experience
- Suspension, steering and brake diagnostic experience
- Transmission diagnostic knowledge
- Must have your own professional tools
- Valid and clean driver's license
- ASE certification preferred/required
- MACS certification preferred/required
- Ability to work independently and accurately diagnose vehicles without relying on unnecessary parts replacement What We're Looking For We need a technician who is more than a parts changer.
Job Type:
Full-time Pay:
$75,000.00- $95,000.
