Lead Mechanic / Shop Owner Position Overview We are looking for a hard-working, dependable Automotive Technician to join our team. This position is ideal for someone who has some mechanical experience and wants to continue developing their skills in a professional shop environment. You do not need to know everything. We are looking for someone who is willing to learn, takes direction, works hard, and takes pride in doing the job correctly . This is a hands-on position. You will be working on vehicles every day and learning from more experienced technicians. You will also be expected to contribute to the overall operation of the shop, including keeping your work area and the shop clean and organized. Key Responsibilities Perform routine maintenance and mechanical repairs under the direction of the Lead Mechanic. Assist with diagnostics, inspections, repairs, and vehicle maintenance. Learn proper repair and diagnostic procedures from experienced technicians. Properly use and care for shop tools and equipment. Follow instructions and ask questions when unsure about a repair or procedure. Complete assigned work efficiently and to the shop's quality standards. Perform basic inspections and identify potential mechanical issues. Assist other technicians when needed. Keep tools, equipment, and work areas organized. Clean your work area and help maintain the cleanliness of the entire shop. Sweep floors, take out trash, organize equipment, and perform other general shop duties as needed. Follow all safety procedures and shop policies. Treat customer vehicles, tools, and shop property with care and respect. Take responsibility for your work and learn from mistakes. Perform other duties necessary to keep the shop running efficiently. What We're Looking For Some automotive repair experience or mechanical background. Basic understanding of automotive systems and tools. Strong work ethic and willingness to learn. Dependable and punctual. Ability to take direction and work well with others. Good attitude and professional demeanor. Ability to work in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment. Attention to detail and pride in workmanship. Willingness to get dirty and do whatever needs to be done. Valid driver's license preferred. Automotive schooling, trade school, or ASE certifications are a plus but not required. Keeping the shop clean, organized, and professional is everyone's responsibility. Physical Requirements Ability to stand, bend, kneel, and work for extended periods. Ability to lift and move automotive parts and equipment. Comfortable working around grease, oil, dirt, noise, and automotive fluids. Ability to safely use basic hand and power tools. Ability to work in a physically demanding shop environment. Pay:
