Job Overview We are seeking a knowledgeable and customer-focused Automotive Service Advisor/Writer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will serve as the primary point of contact between customers and our service department, ensuring a seamless experience from vehicle check-in to vehicle pick-up. The ideal candidate will possess strong automotive knowledge, excellent communication skills, and a passion for delivering exceptional customer service. Responsibilities Greet customers promptly and professionally, establishing rapport and understanding their vehicle concerns Write detailed service estimates and repair orders using automotive service management software Communicate effectively with technicians regarding vehicle diagnostics, repairs, and estimated timeframes Upsell additional services such as oil changes, tire services, brake repairs, alignments, suspension work, and transmission repairs Provide accurate explanations of recommended repairs and maintenance procedures to customers Handle cash transactions and process payments accurately Maintain thorough documentation of all customer interactions and service details Follow up with customers on vehicle status and ensure satisfaction upon completion of services Coordinate with parts department for availability of necessary components Stay informed about current automotive repair techniques, tools, and industry standards Requirements Proven dealership experience or auto service management background preferred Strong knowledge of automotive diagnostics, repair procedures, and mechanical systems including transmissions, oil changes, auto body repair, air brakes, alignments, suspensions, tire services, diesel engine repair, shocks & struts, brake repair Experience in auto estimating and service writing software is highly desirable Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly and professionally Ability to upsell services effectively while maintaining integrity and customer trust Mechanical knowledge combined with experience working with service technicians or mechanics is a plus Familiarity with automotive sales processes is beneficial Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in documentation and cash handling responsibilities Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while providing outstanding service This role is vital to ensuring our customers receive top-quality care for their vehicles while fostering long-term relationships built on trust and expertise.

Pay:

$60,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
