Job Description
We are looking for a Mechanic who can diagnose and repair simple and complex oilfield truck issues, and perform routine maintenance tasks for our vehicles. The successful candidate will use computer diagnostic equipment to pinpoint issues and develop a cost-effective solution for each repair. The ideal applicant will have exceptional customer orientation. Develop ownership and pride for each of the assigned fleet vehicles, skills, and be willing to spend the necessary time explaining issues to customers and helping them understand their service needs. Our company offers a competitive salary and full benefits. Work schedule will follow a Monday to Friday or Sunday to Thursday schedule. Mechanic responsibilities Perform oil and oil filter changes according to manufacturer specifications. Check and top off vehicle fluids, including coolant, transmission fluid, brake fluid, power steering fluid, and windshield washer fluid. Inspect and replace air filters and cabin air filters as needed. Rotate tires and check tire pressure. Inspect belts, hoses, wiper blades, batteries, and other basic vehicle components. Perform multi-point vehicle inspections and document findings. Recommend routine maintenance services based on vehicle condition and manufacturer schedules. Maintain accurate service records and complete work orders. Ensure all work is completed safely, efficiently, and according to company standards. Keep service bays, tools, and equipment clean and organized. Communicate inspection results and maintenance recommendations to service advisors or customers. Follow all safety procedures and environmental regulations for handling and disposing of used oil, filters, and other automotive fluids. Assist other technicians with basic maintenance and shop duties as needed. Mechanic skills 3+ years' experience performing automotive service Familiarity with vehicle diagnostic equipment CAT Motors, Hydraulics, DOT Annual Inspection certification Exceptional internal customer service skills and a good disposition
