General Description Under the direction of the Facilities Maintenance Director, performs skilled maintenance, preventative maintenance, inspection, troubleshooting, and repair of County-owned vehicles and equipment. Maintains vehicles and equipment in safe and reliable operating condition, including cars, trucks, buses, and other County-owned equipment. Responsible for maintaining accurate repair records, monitoring and maintaining necessary supplies, and safely operating and utilizing a variety of hand tools, power tools, diagnostic equipment, and specialized shop equipment. Essential Job Functions Receives, reviews and records vehicles delivered for inspection or repair. Maintains vehicle repair records. Maintains and replenishes supplies for regular maintenance of vehicles. Performs preventative maintenance, inspections, troubleshooting, and repairs on County vehicles and equipment, including cars, trucks, buses and other County owned equipment. Performs oil changes, lubrication, brake service, tire inspection and replacement, battery testing and replacement, and other preventative maintenance activities. Has working knowledge of gasoline and diesel engines and related systems. Troubleshoots and performs repairs involving diesel engines and diesel emission systems when applicable. Uses hand tools, power tools, diagnostic equipment, hydraulic lifts, welding equipment, compressors, jacks, and other specialized shop equipment. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area and properly store tools, equipment, parts, and supplies. Qualifications High school Diploma or equivalent. Experience in vehicle repair to include light truck and buses. ASE Certifications preferred. Possess valid Ohio driver's license and good driving record.

Hours:

Monday-Friday, 7:30am - 3:30pm

Starting Range :

$22.11 - $31.27 based on experience and certification.
