PLUS JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Repair and maintain vehicle fleet including lift trucks (propane and electric) and tuggers. Perform all preventative maintenance as well as breakdown services. Maintain all preventative maintenance and repair records, documents, and warranties. Wash vehicles as a normal portion of preventative maintenance. Keep work area clean, neat, and orderly. Notify Supervision of vehicle abuse. Assist facility maintenance whenever time permits. Respond quickly to handling minor repairs (lights, horns, etc.) so that unsafe vehicles are not in operation or down for an extended period. Other duties at the direction of supervisor.
JOB KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
Must be able to effectively communicate with others both verbally and in writing. Must be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. Attention to detail and organization is critical.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Lift Truck Certified (preferred but not necessary.) If not certified in Lift Truck, must become certified in reasonable amount of time. Diesel Mechanic experience a PLUS Must be self-motivated and be able to work unsupervised. Ability to work well with others. Physically able to bend, squat, twist, push/pull, reach and lift up to 50 pounds. Must be willing to work overtime as needed to ensure vehicles are operable for peak periods. Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license. Must be able to manage time, parts inventories, and budgetary expectations cost savings/avoidance's Must follow all safety procedures. Must wear/use all required PPE, to include but not limited to, safety glasses, hearing protection, mechanics gloves (when required), steel toe boots, etc. Newell Brands (
