JT Wholesale Auto is looking for a dependable, hardworking, mechanically inclined individual to join our team as an Auto Technician. This position is responsible for inspecting, maintaining, diagnosing, and repairing vehicles as they come through our dealership. This is a hands-on position with opportunities to learn and develop automotive skills while working alongside an experienced team.
Key Responsibilities:
Inspect vehicles to identify mechanical, electrical, and maintenance needs Perform routine maintenance such as oil changes, fluid services, brake work, battery replacement, and other general repairs Diagnose vehicle issues and determine appropriate repairs Complete repairs and maintenance efficiently and correctly Perform vehicle inspections and help identify issues before vehicles are sold Install and replace common automotive components and parts Use hand tools, power tools, diagnostic equipment, and shop equipment safely and properly Assist with vehicle preparation and reconditioning Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area Keep track of parts and supplies needed for repairs Follow established safety procedures and dealership standards Communicate clearly with management regarding vehicle condition, needed repairs, and repair progress Be willing to learn new repair techniques, tools, technology, and vehicle systems Take on additional tasks as needed to help keep the shop and dealership running efficiently
Requirements:
Strong work ethic and dependable attendance Mechanically inclined and comfortable working with tools Willingness to learn and take direction Positive attitude and willingness to try new things Ability to troubleshoot problems and think through solutions Attention to detail and pride in quality workmanship Ability to work independently while also being a team player Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment Basic understanding of vehicles and mechanical systems is a plus Previous automotive technician, mechanic, dealership, or shop experience is a plus but not required Ability to safely lift, move, and work around vehicles and automotive equipment Valid driver's license and a good driving record The right attitude matters more than having a perfect résumé.
