Job Description
Full time mechanic needed! We have a fleet of vehicles, more than half are fairly new and just need regular checking and basic PM. The other part of the fleet is older, but they are all basically the same few trucks...so once you learn it, it should be fairly easy. We have a full time mechanic that will train you on the in's and out's of our vehicles. He will be leaving, so you will be our new and only, full time mechanic. We have a service truck and a shop on N Lincoln, in Edmond. We sometimes change transmissions and engines, but the list of work ranges from jumping vehicles to changing engines, and everything in between. We change a lot of tires. You need to be able to manage a simple list and track oil changes. You need 3 attributes 1) Must have a strong work ethic (work when nobody is watching) 2) Must have a sense of urgency 3) Cannot be a cocky mechanic that thinks they know everything. We don't micromanage, so being a self-starter is a must and must have your own tools. This isn't working for a dealership, where everything is clean and we fix everything perfectly. Must be able to pass a drug test in order to get a DOT card.
