Duties Perform comprehensive diagnostics using automotive electrical systems, schematics, and advanced diagnostic tools to identify issues accurately. Conduct repairs on various mechanical systems including engines (gasoline and diesel), transmissions, suspensions, brakes, shocks & struts, and powertrain components. Execute routine maintenance such as oil changes, tire services, wheel alignments, and vehicle inspections to ensure optimal performance. Repair and replace automotive electrical components, auto body parts. Utilize hand tools and power tools safely and efficiently for mechanical repairs while adhering to safety protocols. Interpret technical manuals, schematics, and service bulletins to troubleshoot complex problems effectively. Provide excellent customer service by explaining repairs clearly and offering maintenance recommendations to vehicle owners. Requirements Proven experience working in the automotive repair industry with dealership or independent shop background preferred. Strong mechanical knowledge of automotive systems including ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems), diesel engines, transmissions, brakes, suspension systems, and electrical systems. Hands-on experience with automotive diagnostics equipment and schematics interpretation. Ability to perform heavy equipment mechanics tasks involving complex mechanical repairs. Proficiency with hand tools, power tools and other automotive repair tools. Knowledge of auto estimating processes and auto body repair is a plus. Valid certification or licensing in automotive repair; ASE certification is highly desirable but not necessary. Excellent customer service skills with a proactive approach to vehicle maintenance and problem-solving.
