Harper Ford / Kia in Belle Vernon is looking for an Experienced Automotive Service Technician / Mechanic to join our growing service operation. We're looking for a technician with strong diagnostic, electrical and mechanical abilities who can handle everything from routine maintenance to complex vehicle repairs. If you have 5+ years of automotive service experience , advanced diagnostic skills and take pride in fixing vehicles correctly, we want to talk with you. Ford or Kia experience is a major plus - but it is not required.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

Diagnose, maintain and repair customer vehicles Complete repair orders efficiently and accurately Perform advanced engine and drivability diagnostics Diagnose electrical and electronic system concerns Diagnose and repair transmission issues Service steering and suspension systems Diagnose and repair brake systems Service air-conditioning and HVAC systems Diagnose fuel-system concerns Perform complex mechanical and electrical repairs Utilize advanced electronic diagnostic equipment Test-drive vehicles to verify customer concerns and completed repairs Perform warranty repairs according to manufacturer specifications Communicate with Service Advisors regarding additional repair needs Provide accurate repair-time estimates when required Accurately document repairs and maintenance performed Assist and mentor less-experienced technicians Maintain a clean, organized and safe work environment Stay current with evolving automotive technology and repair procedures

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

5+ years of automotive service technician experience preferred A-level diagnostic and repair capabilities Strong electrical diagnostic abilities Advanced engine and drivability diagnostic skills Ability to perform complex mechanical repairs Experience using advanced electronic diagnostic equipment Ford or Kia dealership experience preferred Master Technician or OEM certifications are a major plus Pennsylvania state inspection and emissions licenses preferred Hybrid and EV experience is a plus High school diploma or equivalent Basic computer and dealership software skills Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities Ability to work independently and as part of a team Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record

FORD OR KIA EXPERIENCE?

EVEN BETTER. Technicians with experience working on Ford or Kia vehicles are especially encouraged to apply. Experience with Ford trucks, Power Stroke diesel, Kia vehicles, hybrids, EVs, advanced electrical systems or manufacturer diagnostic equipment can make you an especially strong candidate. But we're also interested in accomplished technicians coming from Chevrolet, GM, CDJR, Honda, Toyota, Nissan, Hyundai and other OEM backgrounds. If you can diagnose and repair vehicles at an A-level, we want to talk with you.
