Build Your Career with a Team That Keeps Freight Moving! We are seeking a skilled and dependable Heavy Duty Trailer Mechanic to join our maintenance team. In this role, you will inspect, diagnose, repair, and maintain a wide variety of commercial trailers to ensure they meet safety standards and remain road-ready. Responsibilities Inspect, diagnose, and repair dry vans, refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, and other commercial trailers Perform preventative maintenance, including brake inspections, wheel-end service, suspension repairs, lighting, and electrical system diagnostics Repair or replace trailer components such as axles, landing gear, doors, floors, roofs, air systems, and liftgates Perform welding, fabrication, and structural repairs as needed Conduct DOT inspections and ensure trailers meet all safety and compliance standards Complete work orders and maintenance records accurately Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment Work closely with fleet managers and service personnel to minimize equipment downtime Qualifications Previous experience as a trailer mechanic, diesel technician, or heavy-duty equipment mechanic Strong knowledge of commercial trailer systems, including air brakes, suspension, electrical, and lighting systems Welding and fabrication experience preferred Experience performing DOT inspections is a plus Ability to use diagnostic equipment and hand tools safely and effectively Valid driver's license required; CDL is a plus ASE or trailer manufacturer certifications are preferred but not required Ability to lift up to 75 pounds and work in a physically demanding shop environment What We Offer Excellent hourly pay based on experience Stable, year round work with overtime opportunities Health, dental, and vision insurance Paid vacation and holidays 401(k) with company match Company-provided uniforms with laundry service Clean shop with quality equipment Why Join Us? $94,877.19 - $101,048.67 per year
