Sysco is seeking a Fleet Technician 3 to keep our delivery fleet safe, reliable and ready to power the foodservice supply chain. In this on-site role, you will inspect, diagnose and repair diesel and gasoline-powered trucks, trailers and refrigeration units, performing preventive maintenance, DOT inspections and complex mechanical and electrical troubleshooting. You'll use advanced diagnostic tools, maintain accurate repair records, and partner with operations to minimize downtime. Responsibilities Inspect, diagnose and repair diesel and gasoline-powered delivery vehicles and refrigeration units Perform preventive maintenance, DOT inspections and safety checks on fleet equipment Use diagnostic tools, technical manuals and software to troubleshoot complex mechanical and electrical issues Document all repairs, parts usage and maintenance activities in fleet management systems Collaborate with operations teams to prioritize repairs and minimize route downtime Maintain a safe, organized shop environment and comply with Sysco and DOT safety standards Participate in on-call or after-hours repair support as needed Support training and mentoring of junior technicians and assist with continuous improvement initiatives Required Skills Diesel engine repair Heavy truck and trailer maintenance Hydraulic and air brake systems Electrical and electronic diagnostics Refrigeration (reefer) unit service Preventive maintenance scheduling Use of diagnostic tools and software Welding and basic fabrication Technical documentation and recordkeeping Safety and DOT compliance
