Responsibilities Perform comprehensive diagnostics using automotive electrical systems, schematics, and advanced diagnostic tools to identify issues accurately. Repair and maintain various mechanical systems including engines, transmissions, suspensions, brakes, shocks & struts, and powertrain components. Conduct oil changes, tire services, wheel alignments, and vehicle maintenance to ensure optimal performance. Utilize hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and other mechanical repair tools to execute repairs efficiently. Work with heavy equipment mechanics when necessary for specialized repairs on large or complex vehicles. Follow dealership procedures and safety standards while working on GM vehicles or other makes. Communicate clearly with customers about repair needs, estimates, and maintenance recommendations to enhance customer service experience. Requirements Proven experience working in the automotive repair industry with a strong background in automotive diagnostics and mechanical systems repair. Dealership experience is highly preferred; familiarity with auto body repair and auto estimating is a plus. Knowledge of automotive electrical systems, ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems), diesel engine repair, and transmission repair is essential. Ability to read and interpret schematics accurately for complex repairs involving automotive electrical systems and powertrain components. Skilled in using hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and other mechanical repair tools safely and effectively. Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot issues related to suspension systems, auto body repairs, wheel alignments, brake repairs, shocks & struts. Excellent customer service skills with a focus on professionalism and clear communication. Valid certifications in automotive repair or relevant technical training; ASE certification is preferred but not mandatory.
