Job Description
Overview We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Automotive Technician to join our dynamic service team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in automotive repair, diagnostics, and maintenance, with experience working on a variety of vehicle makes and models, including GM vehicles and diesel engines. This role offers an excellent opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment, utilizing advanced tools and technology to ensure customer satisfaction and vehicle safety. Candidates with dealership experience, service technician background, or expertise in automotive electrical systems and powertrain repairs are highly preferred. A commitment to quality workmanship and customer service is essential for success in this position. Responsibilities Perform comprehensive diagnostics using automotive schematics and electronic testing tools to identify issues accurately. Conduct repairs on various systems including engine, transmission, powertrain, electrical systems, and diesel engines. Execute vehicle maintenance tasks such as oil changes, brake repairs, wheel alignments, and tire rotations. Utilize hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and other specialized automotive repair tools efficiently. Repair or replace components related to ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems), alignments, transmissions, and other critical systems. Interpret technical manuals and schematics to troubleshoot complex mechanical and electrical problems effectively. Ensure all repairs meet manufacturer specifications and safety standards. Provide exceptional customer service by explaining repairs clearly and ensuring customer satisfaction. Document all work performed accurately for auto estimating purposes and warranty compliance. Maintain a clean and organized workspace adhering to safety protocols at all times. Experience Proven dealership or service shop experience as an Automotive Technician or Mechanic. Strong knowledge of automotive diagnostics, electrical systems, powertrain components, transmissions, and diesel engine repair. Hands-on experience with vehicle maintenance procedures including alignments and vehicle inspections. Familiarity with automotive schematics, ADAS calibration procedures, and the use of diagnostic software tools. Experience working with GM vehicles is a plus but not required. Prior experience with auto estimating software is advantageous. Demonstrated ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. Excellent problem-solving skills combined with strong mechanical knowledge and attention to detail.
