Job Summary We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Automotive Technician to join our dynamic automotive service team. In this role, you will leverage your extensive mechanical expertise and diagnostic skills to perform repairs and maintenance on a wide range of vehicles, including light-duty cars and trucks. Your skill with troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining vehicle systems ensures optimal performance, safety, and customer satisfaction. Salary starts at $20 to $30 an hour based on skills and experience. Duties Diagnose and repair a variety of automotive systems including engines, transmissions, suspension, brakes, electrical systems, and powertrain components . Perform complex repairs such as auto body repairs and welding tasks with precision and attention to detail. Conduct routine maintenance services including oil changes, tire rotations, wheel alignments, shocks & struts replacement, and vehicle inspections to ensure safety and reliability. Utilize hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment to disassemble, repair, and reassemble mechanical systems efficiently while adhering to safety standards. Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of repairs while maintaining high-quality workmanship. Provide exceptional customer service by explaining repairs clearly and offering professional advice on vehicle maintenance needs. Qualifications Proven experience or extensive background working in the automotive repair industry. Knowledge of automotive transmissions, suspension systems, brakes, and powertrain components. Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and other automotive repair tools. Ability to perform detailed inspections such as wheel alignments or auto body assessments accurately. Excellent problem-solving skills combined with a proactive approach to vehicle diagnostics and repairs. Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly to clients. Preferred but not mandatory : Relevant certifications such as ASE (Automotive Service Excellence), state-specific licenses or certifications .
