Available/required based on operational needs Position Overview Our client is looking for an experienced Maintenance Mechanic to support the upkeep and reliability of its fleet and construction equipment. This position is responsible for identifying mechanical issues, performing repairs, completing scheduled maintenance, and helping keep trucks, forklifts, and other equipment in safe working condition. The successful candidate will be comfortable working in a shop environment, troubleshooting equipment problems, maintaining accurate service records, and working closely with other maintenance and operations personnel. Key Responsibilities Diagnose mechanical problems and determine the appropriate repair or maintenance solution. Service and repair fleet vehicles, trucks, forklifts, and construction-related equipment. Perform routine preventive maintenance, including oil and filter changes and equipment inspections. Monitor equipment condition and identify components requiring repair or replacement. Maintain accurate records of inspections, services, repairs, and other maintenance activities. Identify required parts, tools, and materials needed to complete repairs. Safely use hand tools, power tools, shop equipment, and lifting equipment. Move and operate vehicles and equipment within the maintenance facility and yard when necessary. Follow established safety procedures and manufacturer/service guidelines. Keep the maintenance shop, tools, and work areas clean, organized, and safe. Communicate effectively with maintenance and shop personnel regarding equipment condition and repair requirements. Complete assigned work independently while maintaining productivity and quality standards. What We're Looking For Previous mechanical maintenance experience involving vehicles, trucks, heavy equipment, or construction equipment. Ability to troubleshoot mechanical issues and perform hands-on repairs. Comfortable working independently as well as as part of a maintenance team. Good basic computer skills for maintenance documentation and record keeping. Ability to understand and follow verbal and written instructions. Strong attention to safety, equipment condition, and quality of work. Ability to work in a physically demanding shop environment.

Pay:

$30.00 - $38.00 per hour
