Used Vehicle Technician Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Used Vehicle Technician to join our automotive team. In this role, you will be responsible for performing comprehensive repairs and maintenance on our pre-owned vehicles to ensure they meet safety and quality standards. Air-Conditioned Shop Core Responsibilities Multi-Point Inspections:

Conduct comprehensive evaluations of pre-owned vehicles to identify mechanical, electrical, and structural issues.

Diagnostics & Troubleshooting:

Use computerized diagnostic equipment and tools to locate the source of malfunctions in engines, transmissions, brakes, and electrical systems.

Vehicle Maintenance:

Perform routine maintenance and major repairs—including oil changes, filter and fluid replacements, brake repairs, tire services, and suspension work—to ready cars for the lot or auction.

Documentation & Estimation:

Accurately record all completed or recommended work on repair orders and provide labor and time estimates for reconditioning.

Quality Control & Testing:

Test-drive vehicles and check repaired components to ensure safety and performance standards are met.

Communication & Safety:

Coordinate with service advisors and the parts department regarding necessary repairs, parts orders, and delays while maintaining a clean, safe workspace.

Qualifications Experience:

2 to 3+ years of hands-on automotive repair experience.

Education:

High school diploma or equivalent; technical degree or ASE certifications preferred.

Licenses:

Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record; state-specific inspection and emission licenses (such as a PA inspection license where applicable).

Tools:

Must provide own set of standard mechanic tools.

Physical Requirements:

$50,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
