Responsibilities Perform comprehensive diagnostics using automotive diagnostic tools to identify issues across various vehicle systems. Repair and maintain powertrain components, including engines, transmissions, and drivetrain systems, ensuring optimal vehicle performance. Conduct vehicle suspension system repairs and alignments to improve handling and safety. Interpret automotive wiring diagrams accurately for electrical system troubleshooting and repairs. Service and repair automotive electrical systems, including ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems), sensors, and wiring. Utilize hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and other mechanical tools to execute repairs efficiently. Maintain detailed service records, complete auto estimating tasks accurately, and communicate repair needs clearly to customers. Collaborate with team members to ensure all maintenance tasks meet dealership standards and customer expectations. Stay current with automotive industry advancements by participating in ongoing training on new technologies like diesel engines and vehicle systems. Experience Proven dealership experience or service technician background with a strong understanding of automotive diagnostics and repairs. Demonstrated ability to interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals effectively. Hands-on experience repairing GM vehicles or similar makes is highly desirable. Familiarity with ADAS calibration, vehicle transmission system repair, diesel engine repair, and vehicle suspension systems is preferred. Skilled in using automotive diagnostic tools, power tools, hand tools, welding equipment, and auto estimating software. Strong mechanical knowledge combined with excellent customer service skills to provide professional guidance and support to clients. Prior experience working with automotive electrical systems, transmissions, powertrain components, and vehicle maintenance procedures is essential.
