Primary Accountability :

Responsible for preventative maintenance, and repair of the fleet of R&S owned equipment including but not limited to; small equipment such as: leaf blowers, sting trimmers, chain saws, concrete saws, lawn mowers, snowplow equipment, light, medium, and heavy-duty trucks, trailers, skid steers and other equipment.

Primary Responsibilities:

Perform preventative maintenance and repairs on diesel and gasoline engines to ensure vehicles are DOT compliant, safe and road ready. Perform preventative maintenance and repairs on small motors and other light construction equipment. Perform oil changes, electrical services, and lubrication. Manage annual Pennsylvania State Inspections on the fleet of trucks and trailers. Perform cyclical preventive maintenance on vehicles and small motorized equipment. Inspecting condition of tools and equipment and ensuring proper and safe tooling is used. Recommending equipment design improvements that would reduce maintenance and extend vehicle life to the Fleet Administration staff. Order parts as needed and keep inventory of expendable parts. Complete paperwork as needed using computer software (Asset Manager). Supporting storm operations and mutual assistance when needed after hours, weekends and holidays. Must be able to follow all required work safe practices. Diagnose issues timely and accurately. Minimum of 5 - 7 years related work experience as a certified mechanic or related experience in the overhaul, maintenance, and repair of automotive, truck, off-road equipment and all other company equipment or the operational equivalent is required.

Job Qualifications :

Clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) and Criminal Background. Valid Driver's License. Basic computer skills. Strong focus on Safety, Quality, Accountability, and Integrity. Self-starter ability to perform with limited supervision. DOT Examiner's Certificate Ability to lift 50 lbs. Ability to work in severe weather conditions both hot and cold. Ability to stand and exert physical effort performing manual labor 50% of the time. Able to tolerate exposure to moderate noise levels.
