Fleet and Equipment Technician Ruffs Dale, PA 1 DAYS AGO 22682639 Summary Ruffs Dale, PA In-Person $25.00 - $30.00 per Hour 2 Years Experience Secondary education, no high school diploma (grades 9-12) No Commission 40.00 hours per week / Day Shift / Full-Time / Hours May Vary Description At PTM, we are searching for a hardworking and highly motivated Fleet and Equipment Technician to join our team. The best person for this job will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our shop through effective maintenance and repair tasks while also jumping in the truck to deliver equipment and materials to and from the job sites. This role requires a background in mechanical skills and experience driving CDL trucks. This role has a large scope of work, one day you could be changing oil on an excavator and the next you could be weed whacking around the shop and the following you could be heavy hauling a 336 excavator to a job site. We are looking for someone who is happy to bounce around and complete various different tasks. We understand this job is not for everyone, it is for a very specific type of person as you will be wearing many different hats! Responsibilities Safely operating a variety of trucks and trailers including hauling heavy machinery up to a CAT 336. (Ex. skid loaders, front loaders, excavators, shoring panels, job materials) Hauling soil and gravel to/from the job sites in a triaxle. Keep open communication with the crews and doing tasks as requested (ex: run for supplies, drop off supplies and equipment to job site, pull materials and load up for crews, fix a light that went out on a truck, etc.) Complete routine maintenance (oil changes, fuel filters, brake adjustments) and servicing on our fleet of trucks (Kenworth W900, Mack GR64F, F-650, F-550, F-450, various picks ups), trailers (Talbert lowboy, 20 ton tags, Diamond C goose neck, box trailers, etc.), and equipment (Takeuchi skid loaders, CAT 336 317 308 305, Case front loaders, etc.). Keep detailed service records of everything worked on Take vehicles and trailers to get inspected when needed Unload materials that are delivered to shop Inventory incoming job supplies Order parts as needed Pressure wash and clean equipment/trucks regularly Grease equipment regularly General maintenance of all buildings Keep shops clean and organized Be willing to jump in wherever you're needed. This role has a very wide scope, and we are looking for someone to be able to handle a little bit of a lot of things Skills Light mechanic knowledge - must have some background of working on trucks and/or equipment Ability to perform general maintenance on trucks and equipment CDL class A Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physically demanding tasks for extended periods. Be able to load/unload equipment and strap it down safely and properly Familiarity with hand tools and power tools Ability to read technical manuals and drawings Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately Excellent teamwork skills with a positive attitude towards collaboration Willingness to learn new skills and take on additional responsibilities as needed Ability to work independently and stay busy Strong organizational skills are a must and will lead to success in this position!!
Details:
Typical work week: Monday - Friday 6am - 2:30pm (work later as needed) Typically 40-45 hour weeks Pay is heavily based on experience
