Job Description
We are looking for a maintenance technician to join a team of 6 other technicians that average almost 15 years of time at our dealership. Our stable team works great together and we offer an environment where people want to call home for a long time.
THIS POSITION WILL PRIMARY HANDLE MAINTENANCE WORK AND STATE INSPECTIONS, BUT WILL HAVE THE OPPORTUNITY TO GROW INTO MORE REPAIR WORK. IN ADDITION, THEY WILL HELP WITH SOME LIGHT SHOP CLEANUP.
We offer a steady schedule M-F with no evenings, and one Saturday scheduled every 3 weeks from 8:00am-12:00pm. Competitive pay and great benefits. We pay our techs hourly so they don't have to worry about lack of work or a poor week reducing their expected pay. They are then rewarded with an efficiency bonus if able to produce more hours than their attendance.Responsibilities:
- Perform routine automotive maintenance tasks, including oil changes, tire rotations, and brake inspections.
- Take about an hour a day to do shop cleanup and general building maintenance like emptying trash.
- Conduct vehicle inspections and provide detailed reports on findings.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow and timely completion of repairs.
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing customer concerns and explaining repair recommendations.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
Skills:
- Past experience in a service department (or appropriate schooling) performing maintenance jobs and ideally PA State Inspection and Emission license, though those can be obtained after starting employment.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting and physical tasks related to automotive repair.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
