As an Automotive Paint Technician, you will be responsible for preparing, painting, and finishing vehicles with precision and care, ensuring every customer drives away satisfied. Responsibilities Prepare vehicle surfaces by sanding, masking, and priming to ensure optimal paint adhesion. Apply automotive paint using airless spray guns, power tools, and airbrush techniques for smooth, even finishes. Perform auto body repairs including dent removal, panel replacement, and welding to restore vehicle integrity. Buff, polish, and detail painted surfaces to achieve a high-gloss finish that meets quality standards. Conduct auto glass replacements and repairs as needed during the restoration process. Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring all tools such as hand tools and power tools are properly stored and maintained. Collaborate with team members on auto estimating, vehicle inspection, and customer service to ensure timely completion of repairs. Qualifications Proven dealership or auto body shop experience as an automotive paint technician or similar role. Strong mechanical knowledge of vehicle systems, auto body repair techniques, and auto painting processes. Skilled in using hand tools, power tools, buffing equipment, airless paint sprayers, and other relevant tools. Experience with auto restoration projects including welding, detailing, auto glass work, and vehicle maintenance. Knowledge of auto estimating procedures and customer service principles is a plus. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently during repair procedures.
