Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Automotive Mechanic to join
NAPA GOLD CERTIFIED
service center. There are only 12% of 9,000 Napa nationwide service centers that have been awarded GOLD Status. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in automotive diagnostics and repair, with the ability to work on a variety of vehicles. This role requires candidate providing their own complete set of automotive repair tools. They need to have proficiency in using these hand and power tools, as well as familiarity with automotive service practices. The Automotive Mechanic will be responsible for diagnosing issues, performing repairs, and ensuring that all vehicles meet original customer repair issues (and any "come- backs") while maintaining industry safety standards. Responsibilities Conduct thorough automotive diagnostics to identify issues and determine necessary repairs. Previous use of Digital Video Inspections (DVI ) and detailed understanding of this process. Direct interface with our CSR and potentially customer to explain results of the DVI and why certain critical issues need to be fixed. Upselling of critical items documented on the DVI results. Ethical ( Not upselling for $$$ upselling purposes) but rather...consulting to customers. DVI software, cameras and necessary tools will be provided Interpret schematics and technical manuals to assist in the repair process. Perform routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, brake inspections, and tire rotations. Proven experience on larger jobs (crate-rebuilt engine/transmission removal/replacement) Work on advanced driver-assistance systems (ADAS) as required. Repair or replace components related to suspension systems and air brakes. Maintain a clean and organized workspace while adhering to safety protocols. Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of service requests. Skills Strong knowledge of automotive diagnostics and troubleshooting techniques. Proficiency in reading schematics and technical documentation. Proficiency conducting DVI inspections and later consulting with customer/CSR Experience with suspension systems, air brake systems, and dealership service practices is preferred. Ability to perform routine maintenance tasks efficiently, including oil changes and brake services. Familiarity with advanced driver-assistance systems (ADAS) is a plus. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Strong communication skills to interact effectively with customers and team members.
