Mobile Technicians are responsible for diagnosing and repairing customer units on site and filling out service orders. The ideal candidate will be proficient at diagnosing and repairing various types of trucks, trailers, automobiles and equipment and have the ability to work alone without support. Also, the ideal candidate will be self driven and have goals inline with the company focus. Duties/Responsibilities Work in all types of weather conditions and potentially long hours DOT inspections Preventive maintenance and inspections Maintain a clean work space Complete service orders Diagnose and repair various types of and systems of customer trucks, trailers, automobiles and equipment onsite Manage computerized service orders and keep up to date Test drive customer vehicles as required Maintain minimum efficiency standards Other duties as assigned Required Qualifications/Skills Valid drivers license Clean driving record 2+ years experience preferred as a semi truck/trailer technician Ability to diagnose and repair all types of engine management systems, air brake systems, lighting and electrical systems, suspension and steering systems, chassis and cab systems, vehicle coupling systems Knowledge of and experience with tools Knowledge of and experience with standard repair procedures Works well alone and has the ability to handle customers Own tools (preferred) Self starter Punctual Reliable Trustworthy Prefered Qualifications / Skills ASE master medium/heavy technician certification or any T series ASE certification Physical requirements Must perform physically demanding tasks with the ability to carry 50 pounds and crawl under and climb on equipment Must be able to spend extended periods standing / walking / lying Must be able to work in all types of weather conditions and potentially long hours
