This position is ideal for someone who is confident performing automotive repairs but also has the organizational and customer-service skills to assist with managing the day-to-day operation of the shop. Responsibilities Diagnose, repair, and service a variety of vehicles Complete mechanical work efficiently and accurately Use Mitchell software to create and manage estimates Write repair estimates and communicate recommended repairs to customers Assist with scheduling and managing workflow Occasionally answer phones and assist customers Help maintain an organized and productive shop Assist with marketing and growing the business Perform general shop management duties Qualifications Several years of professional automotive mechanic experience required Experience with Mitchell automotive software strongly preferred Experience writing automotive repair estimates Strong diagnostic and mechanical repair skills Dependable and able to consistently work required hours Reliable transportation Clean background Professional communication and customer-service skills Able to work independently and take initiative Marketing or automotive business development experience is a plus Management or service-writing experience is a plus Schedule Full-Time Monday-Friday Must be available to work between 9:00 AM-5:00 PM Consistent attendance and reliability are required. Compensation This position includes a combination of $30/hour for completed mechanic work/jobs and eventually a base pay for managerial duties (in addition to hourly pay for completed jobs) . There will be a 60-day probationary period , with the opportunity for a pay increase following successful completion based on performance, reliability, and overall contribution to the business. We are looking for someone who wants to become a dependable, long-term part of a growing automotive business and is comfortable taking responsibility both in the shop and with day-to-day operations.
