Automotive Technician

Responsibilities:
Perform work specified on maintenance and repair orders with efficiency and in accordance with dealership standards Perform test drives, test components and systems, using diagnostic tools and special service equipment Diagnose, maintain, and repair vehicle automotive systems including engine, transmission, electrical steering, suspension, brakes, air-conditioning, etc. Inspect vehicles and record findings so that necessary repairs can be made Execute repairs under warranty to Subaru manufacturer specifications Learn new technical information and techniques with new service information released by Subaru Explain repair and diagnoses to service advisors in a non-technical manner, and provide a time estimate for additional repairs - notify advisors of any delays. Assist advisors and explain diagnosis/repairs to customers, if needed. Maintain cleanliness of customers vehicles and service areas
Qualifications:
2 + years of Service Technician experience preferred - B level qualifications, including Diagnostic, Electrical and Engine Repair Mechanical and troubleshooting skills and ability to operate electronic diagnostic equipment Ability to learn new technology, repair and service procedures and specifications Ability to work in a fast paced environment Ability to collaborate with team members and work together to find solutions, but also work independently and solve problems Excellent customer service skills and basic computer competencies Positive, friendly attitude, along with an eagerness to improve Valid driver's license and clean driving record Ability to lift at least 50 lbs.
