Role Summary We are seeking a skilled Shop Trailer Mechanic for a permanent, full-time role based in Nashville. This position is strictly shop-based, meaning you will not be required to handle emergency roadside service calls. Core Responsibilities Conduct official DOT-certified inspections Execute routine preventive maintenance checks Identify and resolve issues within trailer systems and equipment Restore functionality to liftgates, brake chambers, body panels, and structural frames Execute essential welding and metal fabrication tasks Utilize specialized diagnostic gear, lifts, jacks, and standard hand tools Support lead technicians to ensure complex repairs are completed efficiently Help maintain a safe working environment for the entire team Required Qualifications Minimum of two years of professional experience in heavy-duty or trailer maintenance Must possess your own set of essential hand tools Background in metal fabrication and welding is highly desirable Strong aptitude for troubleshooting mechanical failures Physical capability to stand, climb, bend, and lift throughout your daily shift High school diploma or equivalent qualification is preferred Compensation and Schedule Hourly rate ranging from $20 to $24, based on your professional background Standard Monday through Friday work week Consistent daytime hours Full eight-hour shifts No evening work required Weekends off Additional Details We invite you to submit your application for this permanent, on-site role.
