At Smoky Mountain Automotive , we are seeking a skilled and dedicated General Tire and Lube Technician to join our team. As a leading automotive service provider, we take pride in delivering exceptional customer service and maintaining the highest standards in vehicle maintenance. Responsibilities:
- Perform tire rotations, installations, and repairs with precision and efficiency
- Conduct oil changes, filter replacements, and fluid checks to ensure optimal vehicle performance
- Perform basic vehicle inspections and identify any potential issues or safety concerns
- Conduct wheel alignments and balance tires to promote even tread wear and vehicle stability
- Maintain accurate records of all services performed, including parts used and time spent on each task
- Assist customers with tire recommendations, answering inquiries, and providing outstanding customer service
- Adhere to company safety protocols and guidelines while working in a shop environment
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience as a tire and lube technician or similar role preferred
- Proficient knowledge of tire installation, repair techniques, and oil change procedures
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
- Ability to operate shop equipment and tools safely
- Excellent attention to detail and time management skills
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Ability to work in a team and independently with minimal supervision
