J2 Diesel & Gas Repair is seeking a motivated, dependable, and experienced Automotive Technician to join our growing team. Position Summary The Automotive Technician will diagnose, repair, and maintain a variety of vehicles. This position requires strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities Perform vehicle inspections and identify maintenance or repair needs Diagnose drivability concerns, engine issues, and warning lights Complete oil changes, tune-ups, and routine maintenance services Repair and replace brakes, rotors, calipers, and brake components Perform steering and suspension repairs, including struts, shocks, tie rods, and ball joints Diagnose and repair cooling system issues, including radiators, thermostats, and water pumps Replace belts, hoses, gaskets, and other engine components Perform electrical diagnostics and repairs Repair and replace starters, alternators, batteries, and charging systems Diagnose and repair fuel systems and emissions-related components Perform air conditioning and heating system repairs Conduct engine repairs and component replacement as needed Maintain accurate repair orders and communicate findings clearly Follow all safety procedures and maintain a clean work area Work as a team to deliver outstanding customer service Qualifications Previous automotive repair experience preferred Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills Ability to use diagnostic scanners and repair software Valid driver's license with a clean driving record Dependable, honest, and self-motivated Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in a shop environment Benefits Competitive pay based on experience Company-paid Life Insurance Company-paid Disability Insurance TeleDoc Benefits Ongoing training and professional development Stable Monday-Friday schedule (8:30 AM - 5:30 PM) No weekends Opportunity for career advancement Supportive team environment Why Join J2?
